Villages’ Development Foundation provides villages with vitality 

 

The purpose of the Villages’ Development Foundation is to strengthen the viability of the villages of Rovaniemi and promoting the wellbeing of villagers. Our foundation supports and assists projects and operations for enhancing the appeal of villages and for promoting their cultural, recreational and business activities. Our goal is to maintain living conditions in the villages in such a way that people want to continue living and working in the villages.

We also promote research activities in order for determining the way for developing the operations of areas and villages. Our foundation’s funds are not used for funding mandatory municipal functions.

For the enterprises of rural areas

The Rovaniemi Villages’ Development Foundation grants a business voucher to enterprises operating in rural areas worth €2,500, which represents 40% of incurred costs. The costs excluding value added tax can comprise a number of payments eligible for support, the combined total of which is a maximum of €6,250. This support can be granted for e.g. small investments, marketing measures and costs for hiring experts.
